TEXT:

to whom it may concern,
on may 3rd. between 1:00 and 2:00p.m., lynn cranmer and i met with mike houston, american consulate, at his office in cabo san lucas, mex. we presented the following facts relating to the allegations presented in the gringo gazette against the oceana corp. [the McGonagles], and gene crain.

1] immigration is not after the McGonagles and Crain to deport them.

2] the health department has shut the job in question down, for gross unsanitary conditions.

3] the builder in question has fled the country, not because his life was threatend, because he under bid the job, was losing money, owing his suppliers, workers, and owners money. the life threat was a ruse on his part to justify running.

4] the McGonagles do not run a protection racket, nor have they threatened any one's lives.

5] we have known the McGonagles and Crain for many years, worked, played, and socialized with them and can vouch for their integrity.

mike houston took notes during our conversation. he told us carrie duncan, of the gringo gazette, had contacted him, that she was very carefull in what she said. during our conversation, mr. houston said he was aware of the situation, and had to maintain a neutral position, but felt the gringo gazette lacked credebility.

sincerely,
