At Palo Escopeta road, aproximately 3 miles north of Los Zacatitos, repeated burnings of refuse in November - December 2000 to May 2001, at the Los Cabos Municipal Dump created toxic smog and health hazards to both residents and life forms in this vicinity. The toxic fumes resulted in instances of headaches, lung complications, asthmatic attacks, and other illnesses aflicting both human and animal residents of the area. |
