"I set up the mural that has been an ongoing painting with the children of La Playita kinder and the photo history collage of the dump from the web sites loszacatitos.net & loscaboscontamination.com at 11:30 am. To anyone that was entering the municipal palace or that showed interest in the mural/collage I handed them the flyer about the upcoming meeting; by 12:45 p.m. I had handed out 125 flyers, a total of 250 since the Saturday before the meeting. At 12:00 noon I was interview by Noticieros Televisa about the reason for this meeting and the lack of a formal recycling program. A lot of local mexicans I talked to while the meeting was going on were very supportive of what we are trying to achieve.

"The recycle stickers were a big hit: 85 were handed out. The press...Noticieros Televisa, Tribuna, TV Azteca, Destinos Los Cabos, freelance reporter Sabrina Lear all took photos or video of the mural/collage.The majority of the people I talked with had no knowledge of the dump fires and the lack of a more modern landfill system.
