Municipal dump burns January 14, 2008 with more toxic smog for Los Zacatitos. (Jan 15, 2008)

The Palo Escopeta road municipal dump burned extensively the night of January 14th covering the coast and Los Zacatitos with dense and toxic smog the morning of January 15th.

Once again, some residents were forced to flee from their homes and seek a cleaner environment for the day! Meetings with the President of the San Jose Municipality, and other government officials were held and the government promised that there would be a permanent end of all burnings at the dump.
