Dialing in Mexico 24/7 Medical Services & Dentist Emergency Phone NumbersThe 'Swine Flu' and global economy forces some non-residents & residents to take drastic action Ecological Enforcement - PROFEPA and SEMARNAT For the last severa years (2007-2008) there were a number of homeowners who were visited by PROFEPA enforcement officers conducting investigation of compliance with environmental regulations in construction or development of East Cape and Los Zacatitos properties. Some times these visits were met by 'f*** off' (which does disservice to our community) or simply ignoring the inspection requests. Well, it's time to read what a lawyer posted on the 'Baja Pony Express' in the service of explaining what these organizations do, and what they can do when faced with 'non compliance' with environmental regulations. Click here to read the article. It is never too late to form an active 'association' representing common goals and ideals. However, as the chronologies will reveal, 'consensus', however difficult to achieve, is not the issue. What is the issue is timely 'action towards a common goal' and legal representation. These prohibitions to vehicles are rarely, if ever, enforced aound Zacatitos by the police, but the prohibitions are in effect. So, before we do another update 'outing' people and their vehicles driving the beach, perhaps we could inform our visitors and neighbors, and especially rentors who come for a weekend or week, about not driving on the beach.
